Wonder if anyone would be interested in donating a toy for the Toys for Tot's campaign? I will collect then would like to ask for Tom or Orlando's car to deliver the toy's (the only Red/White cars :)) If anyone knows someone in the organization where we could get a photo op made with a Marine or the volunteers that would be great. Any interest?

I'm in. What's the price range of the toys or age group or is it across the board?

I thought about that, but that is up to you. Not knowing everyone's financial situation, I felt there shouldn't be a minimum or maximum, you know what you can do. The website doesn't have any guidelines regarding that - http://www.toys4totsstl.com/index.html

Hope you all can participate.

Sounds good Mark, thanks for checking on that. So, let's plan to get together before 12/18 so we can get them together and delivered. Would be nice if we could use the cars to deliver them, no matter the temperature. Tom/Bruce/Orlando - a.k.a. Santa Claus - Red Cobra's would make good sleigh's :D

Great idea, I will be on the west side of the river shopping with the wife this weekend. I may call one of you to drop off the toys.

Tim,

Do we need a Marine contact for Toy's for Tot's?? I may be able to help as we have worked with them for several years at our facility. Let me know what we want to do and I will make a call or two to see what the possibilities are.

Mark says the drop off at Gravois Bluffs will be good, don't know if it's manned by the Marine's or not. Mark?

I've been in Mike's lobby around Christmas time. Those folks know how to do Toys for Tot's!

I'm new at this, so if someone knows the best way to get this done, let me know.

Tim,

We deal with Cpl. Curtis Schapp and Sgt. Edward Merz at 314-401-0220. They also have a website. www.toys4totsstl.com. I would take a look at the website and give them a call. They will be able to give you specifics. Go to the "Contact Us" portion on the web for other points of contact or give the above gents a call.

TTT - Looking at meeting at the dropoff site on 12/18. Gravois Bluffs. If you live on the East side, but still want to contribute, let me know and maybe we can do a East side meet on the 16 or 17th.

I take it since I am the only one posting on this thread I am alone in this donation. Look up your dropoff point on their website. Wished we could have done this as a group donation. No dropoff at Gravois Bluffs scheduled, so no need to be there. Thanks :-l

We "donated" our big box truck for pickup/drop off runs last Thursday from various locations and I sent toys with the truck just in case this didn't develop. There are plenty of drop off locations around town for anyone who wants to add toys. This has been a pretty rough year for a lot of folks but Dave (our driver) said he hauled a whole lot of toys :)

Are we still going to give toys as a group? I have some toys and games that we are going to give. I didn't know if, we were going to get together and give as a group still. I thought we were going to do this on the 18th. Just let me know. Thanks.

I put mine in at the local bank, as I didn't know what was going on here.
