Hospital: Woman Cited In Obama Speech Eligible For Medicaid The AP reports Natoma Canfield, the "woman championed as the Obama administration's emblem for health care reform," does not "have to choose between her home and her health, according to officials at the Ohio hospital where she is being treated." With "a self-reported annual income of about $6,000," Canfield is "a prime candidate for financial aid in the form of Medicaid - the federal health care program for low-income and disabled people - or charitable assistance. And the Cleveland Clinic said it has no intention of putting out a lien on Canfield's house - or letting the billing process interfere with her treatment."

Most uninsured people have this option. I don't believe the problem lies with not having insurance as some how some way people do get treatment. The ER is the personal physcian for low income people. I was at the ER yesterday and a young mother brought her two children in for minor issues. An ear ache and a rash. Now I know why it costs me $1000+ to take an injured employee(this one was smashed thumb) to the ER....because I have W/C insurance on my employees.

Brett Baier will interview Obama on Fox news this afternoon 6Et 5 Ct
Wonder why Obama finally recognized Fox as a legitimate news source....duh...he needs to try to appeal to the conservatives in a big way. I wish him luck.
I tried to call my congressmen yesterday as did millions(or is that brazillions) and could not get thru...phones were jammed all day long.
