"Stimulus" Plan

Good stuff Mike. Lobbyists? You only counted 12???????? Secret hidden fund for goodies? Ummmmmmmmmm. Any strictly confidential advice you care to share? :D

The Bailout Mascot

The government announced today that it is changing the National Mascot to be a
CONDOM.

Why??

Because, as a result of the impending stimulus, it more accurately reflects the stance of the new administration.

How??

Because condoms -

Encourage inflation, halt production, destroy the next generation, protect a bunch of pricks, and give you a sense of security while you are being screwed.

This TRILLION dollars is OUR TAX MONEY!!!!!! It DOES NOT, NEVER HAS, and NEVER WILL, come from the government!!!
Why does no one ever seem to get this point.
WE are the 4th branch of the government and we have been asleep while the other three branches have supplanted our liberty and our will to be free. Ever wonder what it is like in the commie countries? I mean what it is really like?? I am afraid we're about to find out, mi amigos.

$1,000,000,000,000.00

WE are the 4th branch of the government and we have been asleep while the other three branches have supplanted our liberty and our will to be free.

No one is asleep of that you can be sure - the president won with a 60+ percent majority. People wanted change - and change is what they shall have. Every aspect of live, liberty and the pursuit will be/has been changed forever.

Okay guys, devils advocate time.

It's Nov. 4th all over again, McCain/Palin just won the election. Fast forward three months to today. What would they be doing differently than the current Pres. or the last one that got us into this mess?

This is what I am not hearing from the opposition. I have not heard one good alternate plan from the minority. It's very easy to complain and put down those in power. But it is much more difficult to come up with a plan of attack that 100% of the people support.

I'm listening...

At this point - it doesn't matter what the minority says, thinks or proposes. It will get nowhere. The dems have the ball - it's the change that people overwhelmingly voted for. So, here comes the change. I honestly don't know why everyone is complaining so loudly - they asked for it - and now they have it.

Hey Mark I'm not complaining YET. :D Hey Scotty Are you still listening? :p Hey Naj You crack me up! :D I thought the "stimulus" $ was going to be printed.

Those that voted our leader are the same 40% that do not pay taxes. If they continue to vote the left wing in we will be socialized much sooner than we realize. They have already put a form of socialized medicine in the stimulus plan under the guise of computorized medical records. It should have been a seperate bill but it got buried here.

I got some news for you - we are already socialized. There's no stuffing that genie back in the bottle. Bend over middle class - you're going to get some change in your a** - then after that no more middle class.

No matter which "candidate" would have won, we would be here. I really think that if I would have been the democrat candidate I would have won. People, mostly 18 - 30, did not want Republicans in the office no matter WHO the opponent was. Change? Well, we'll see. I was just disappointed that neither candidate was qualified. But I digress.

Small business built and continues to build this country. Large corporations employ large numbers of people, but there isn't enough money to save them. So, what do you do? I'm po'd that the stimulus plan was approved and the DOW was down over 400 points. Barrels of oil are down, gas is up?! Part of the package is to give more student loans?! Um, whom does that employ? What a mess.

"I'm disappointed that neither candidate was qualified." Agreed! None of our candidates are ever really totally qualified when you get right down to it. The two candidates that I liked best on each side of the ticket were not nominated. I thought Huckaby (sp?) was an interested guy with some novel/controversial ideas that intrigued me. His idea regarding taxes did him in, IMHO. His idea would have arguably ended a lot of cheating, but man what a logistical nightmare to try to implement. Sales tax instead of income tax would arguably stop under reporting of income & over reporting of expenses (Leona Helmsley & Tom Dashel) by the wealthy & cheating by the poor who work for cash under the table. I'll bet if we could stop all the cheating we could lower taxes substantially just by doing that.
