A house just down the street from ours just sold for $300K after foreclosure. The previous owner paid $500K for it 5 yrs ago! :eek: I couldn't sell my house now for anything near what I have in it. :( I would take a substantial loss on it. The sad thing is this is global. People in China are suffering too. I'm not from Mo. & I want somebody to show me too. :) Madoff was perhaps the greediest of them all save the Wall Street Execs. who are still gettin their bonus's from our bailout money. :eek:

You know who is not suffering?
Exxon - record profits.
Wall Street Execs - record bonuses.
Debt Collection agencies - banner year.
Auto Mechanics - repairing old cars instead of buying new.
Repo agents - can't keep up with demand.
Oh - and gun sales are at record levels and triple profits.

And - I'll take a guess that personal bankruptcy's are on the rise.
 
Good morning Buddy. Hey I understand Party loyalty & I know that is not necessarily a bad thing, but change may not necessarily be a bad thing either. Look what happened yesterday in Iraq. True freedom of choice elections. There are very strong signs that they may have finally turned the corner over there. I was one of the naysayers who may have to eat his words. I always said that it would never work & that as soon as they pull the troops out things will go back to the way they have always been. Perhaps the biggest part of Pres, Bush's legacy may still turn out to be a success story in Iraq that many like me said was impossible. So keep the faith baby. Let's put party differences aside for the sake of our country on some issues & try some of the other guys ideas in regard to fixing the economy & hope for the best. We have to try something. None of us has all the right answers & that includes our Pres. God Bless America. :)
