Have a question about what class you will be in? See below.

B) GT 1 ALL Vehicles under 2000 lbs

C) GT 1/A ALL Vehicles under 2000 lbs and naturally aspirated

D) GT 1/B ALL Vehicles under 2000 lbs with a power adder

E) GT 2 ALL Vehicles over 2001 lbs

F) GT 2/A ALL Vehicles Over 2001 lbs and over 400 Cubic Inches

G) GT 2/B ALL Vehicles Over 2001 lbs and UNDER 399 Cubic Inches

All the above classes (GT1, GT2, and GTP) will have sub-classes; Street, Prepared and Pro. For example, a small block cobra replica with slicks is a GT 2/B Pro. The same car with street tires would be a GT2/B Street. Power adders will be allowed in all GT2 classes.

I will be in GT2/A Street. Brandon would be in GT2/B Street. This depends on your tires too. Anything 200 and below (treadwear rating) will be considered prepared, and anything with no tread at all will be considered Pro (I think).

You are correct. Classes though are only for the awards. On Thursday you will be put into one of four run groups based on lap times. So, you may run with cars from any of the classes. Tread does dictate your class also(pro, mod, street). They started putting everyone in run groups last year. In my opinion it worked great. This way you were put into groups with like skills not just cars. The only issue that comes up is some cars do a alot better in the turns some on the road so you have to pay attention. For example if you have a stalker in your run group you will blow by him on the straights, but he will eat your lunch through the turns.

You just have to know when to let him go and vise versa so everyone can get their best times.

Brandon, during the groups, where were the overtake areas established, I can't remember. On Test & Tune, it was the front straight only, but during the group runs, I remember seeing passing prior to the S turns and on the little straight before you exit on to the oval.

No worries. They go over everything in the drivers meeting each morning. You get all the oval, straight after turn one and the straight on the back side(I forget the turn number). It really helped me last year to get the correct line. Anyone that has been around will help or follow behind the first time or two out.
