Redneck RV (Enclosed trailer conversion)

Don't forget what you "originally" bought the trailer for. :D I think the dual purpose is grst though and should really increase the payback on it. Nice job bud. Don't get overheated.

Haven't forgot that Dan, just making it more useful. For now, 12v lights only. As I expand the scope on this, I will add some flush mount AC lighting and maybe some fold down beds. Right now, it's getting used about 3 or 4 times a year (more than my boat) with this, I will have the ability to use it 6 or more times a year. We'll see. Thanks for the offer Rick, I'll let you know.

Tim, any idea what up with the forum? As I said, this post never showed up till this AM for me??????

No idea. But I did reset you user profile to Central time zone.

I got another piece of plywood installed this evening. I have 4 more to hang, then it will be wiring. By the way don't buy your rv parts at Apache village, they charge about double than a place i found online. Hope to have the ac running by the weekend so i can wire in comfort :)

I temporarily hooked up the AC. It was 105 in the trailer when I turned it on at 1:26 pm, at 3pm, it is 90 :D The trailer is sitting in full sun and is fully closed up. I think it may do better if I put the grill on it to direct the air, but it's doing fine. Still have some plywood to hang and the electric to do. Have an electrician buddy coming by tomorrow to see what he thinks of my idea and to pick his brain on some ideas.

Still think you should come "practice" on my car. :) Paul can give you dirrections

2 more pieces of plywood putup, 2 to go. Ac was only able to keep the temp at 82 today. I guess pretty good considering the high today. Headed to the lake this weekend, so no work on it.

The unit is 13,500 btu. I got it cooled down to 65 last night :D

Getting closer! I hung the last @ pieces of plywood today and began the electric. Was too dark to take pics, will do that tomorrow.

Got my interior lights hooked up, and they work :D. Now to figure out a converter and complete the rest of the wiring. No work to be done on it this weekend, will be headed to arkansas.
