Hey Bull Don't stop ranting that's part of what the paddock's for.

Hey MikeW: What do you expect? They all do it. That's why it's called politics. Not saying that makes it OK. Bushie helped out his buddies while he was in office. Looked what happened to oil co.s while he was in office. Looked what happened for Halliburton (Chaney's buddies) as a result of the Iraq war. That stuff wasn't coincidental. One of my Bros. got a tip to buy oil stock when Bushie got elected in 2000 & he's a wealthy man now because of that tip. So it cuts both ways. Obama or the dems don't have a monopoly on "sleaze."

I wanted to think long and hard before casting my vote. I vote yes, keep politics in the paddock. BUT, we all need to remember a couple simple rules in having a forum like this and not wanting to hurt those friendships:

1) Discuss...Name calling and childish rants do nothing, but offend. Keep the thoughts on topic and don't start the rant without thinking first.

2) Keep it factual. If you want to share your views, do it. If you want to start a heated discussion know the facts. There have been MANY posts in the last couple months that are not bassed on facts but based on a mass e-mail we all receive. I was once told to never underestimate the power of stupid people in large numbers. Those mass e-mails are nothing more than stupid people growing exponentially bscause of the internet. Don't post those until verified whether they are true. For Example, how many received the recent e-mail after Obama was elected that showed Muslims protesting "down with democracy?" Then we were told that it was a "recent" protest immediately after the election. Unfortunely, I received the same e-mail 7 years earlier. Which is true? Same people dressed the same way protesting again???

This thread is a good example. Multiple views with no arguements.

Dave, tell your budy not to hold out...What is the Obama stock tip?

Sorry I could not resist. For everyone, that was a retorical question I can only guess the responses.

Hey Kid If ya find out who Obama's buddies are & what stock to invest in, let us all know will ya. :D Hey MikeW I'll bet all of us would be deplored & shocked if we but knew half of the stuff that goes on in D.C.:( Don't forget there were weapons of mass destruction in Iraq & we had to take out Sadam to rid the world of them & invading Iraq had nothing to do with furthering the interests of American big oil or lining the pockets of Halliburton.;)

My vote is ABSOLUTELY NO POLITICS!!!

Nice to say "keep it factual," kid, but factual just ain't factual anymore. Just because somebody says it, or you see it on the internet or hear it on the radio doesn't make it factual.

Uh Karl I didn't get your vote due to your ambivalence. Can't you be a little more assertive & emphatic about your feelings/opinions on the subject? :D

So Karl, how do you form your opinons on how to vote or tell others about something if everything you hear or read is a lie?

Everybody sifts through the "lies" to formulate their own opinions don't they? Or perhaps there are some who just shovel everything down with a big spoon & believe everything their told by one side or the other.:rolleyes::p BTW my middle name is Karl. :D

What's really weird is that the poll is basically 50/50 with 2 votes on the sideline - which is really the exact breakdown of recent national elections and the total demographic of the country - really weird.

I don't have a strong opinion one way or the other. Imagine that. I do like giving everybody the business tho & keeping things stirred up. :D It might be fun if we had a majority of Dems instead of Repubs, so I could give them just as much stuff as I've been givin to you guys. :D They don't have all the answers either. :p

I find the poll interesting at best. Like mark said, it pretty well sums up the national attitude at this time.
So guys, how does it feel to be average when we all thought we were pretty special with our cars and all ?

I thinks everyone should have goals; both long term and short term.
Right now my long term goal is to go to the recliner, turn on Fox and take a nap.

dave the cost of gas was because of deregulation who was responcible for that and enron had a big part you have a well know fuel distributor close to you call matt and ask him how that happened sold on open market and bid for
