Pawn Stars Cobra

Just my impression, but I think they made a bad deal. It had a CSX number but they blacked out the number after CSX. I am thinking 4000 series. The guy that put it together gave a 159k pricetag. It sounded like the completion cost about 80k and they paid 30k for the body.
 
At $93K for the Fast Lane CSX why would anyone pay 66K more for an aluminum body? I think the Pawn Stars are going to be disappointed with their ROI. They'll make money but not as much as they wanted the audience to believe. I'm guessing that the $159K was just for wow factor for the show. I want to know who the dummy was that abandoned the car :eek:
 
I agree. They said for the tow operator to keep it he had to try and get the owner for 90 days! I think I want to be a repo man in my spare time.
 
Couldn,tell what engine/tranny combo they were putting it. Wish I had tivo'd it.
I agree, it is a continuation series, not original.

I think they got screwed...but isn't that what reality shows are about...the "wow" factor.
 
Are they making continuation aluminum bodied cars? I thought the idiot that let the body/frame go for $30k could have gotten the $50k on the auction block. I did record it, but erased after watching the show.
 
Yes - the alum. bodied cont. cars are CSX4000 series - made by Kirkham. and quite pricey.

High Tech (Superformance) makes the glass CSX7000 cars.
 
I think the guy that made the real money was the builder! 80K to finish it!!! What a nice guy, he saved him $20k by going carb instead of EFI, and "Pleather" instead of leather. he's the crook!

The repo guy is just a dolt, should have ebay'd that puppy! all he saw was cold hard cash on the spot!

I liked the old man claiming he's going to take it out on the track and do 200! barely got it to 40!

I think that show is too staged and chumley (or whatever his name is) is an idiot! definately comic relief.

wonder if that car is in the registry now?
