All, as you may or may not know, we have several club resources one of which are corner scales. Our current scales need a large repair that simply doesn't make it worth our while to do so. Paul thinks we can get $500 for the scales on RacingJunk.com. If we do that, we will be $500 closer to the cost of a new or newer set with a net cost of $1,100 of the clubs current balance of $2,300 (or so). Yes, we can probably repair the existing set, but we have an issue with one or more pads and we aren't sure of the total cost for the repair.

So, there are 3 options on the poll. Yes - Proceed with purchase of new set and selling old set. No - let's stick with what we have as this is an unnecessary expense. Repair - let's take a chance and repair the current set of scales.

Thanks for voting on this important topic.

By the way, I've hidden the users vote so all votes are anonymous. This way, you feel comfortable voting either direction.

In case you don't know what these are used for, they are very helpful in determining corner weights on you car. This is beneficial to know so you can adjust your car accordingly and get it performing to it's capability. Again, thanks for voting, keep it up! :D

Well, based on the response, the vote is to replace. Since the first posting and the poll question was asked, Paul took the scales home and tinkered some time with them to find that the pads are very, very sensitive, which we all knew. Paul found that once the pads are allowed to settle, they end up being pretty accurate. So, for now, we will stay with what we have and schedule a day to weigh some cars. Paul and I will keep our eye out for a good deal to upgrade. Thanks for you attention and voting on this.
