This month's car belongs to Jim & Kate Dooley from St. Louis. Jim's car is a beauty and a 289 FIA replica of CSX 2301. Jim purchased the car in 2005 and completed in 2006. The paint color is Viking Blue with Burgundy team stripes. The car is powered by a Ford Racing GT-40 302 with GT-40X ported aluminum heads and GT-40 roller valve train riding on an Ultradyne XS-1 hydraulic roller cam. Sitting on top sipping gas are two Edelbrock 500 cfm carbs feeding a vintage Cobra manifold. If you've ever looked under the hood, don't go looking for an ignition box as Jim has installed a Vortex Magneto distributor, very cool. Pushing the 289 down the road is a vintage Salisbury IRS rear end with 3.54 gears. Putting rubber to the road are Trico knock off FIA wheels with BF Goodrich tires.
Truly an authentic, beautiful car that Jim enjoys driving. Jim hopes to make a few laps on the track this year as well as make the 2nd annual super cruise. Great job Jim on a great looking car
