You're right it does hurt the value unless you're selling to Mr.T :D, BUT I like a LITTLE bling too only NOT to the degree of Mr. T. :D I like to put a little chrome in certain places where it can be easily removed. Chrome top on radiator not a good idea unless you keep the orig. unchromed & stored for resale. My 2cs worth. :)

Only thing it lacks is chrome spinning wheels - you don't want one of these if you plan on driving - that F I system is a pile - run good one day - weather changes bad the next
 
You've already got the nice and correct cars. Why not get one and go resto-mod 100%??? Then drive the snot out of it. Big fun - bet it'll be you 2nd favorite car.

You read my mind Big Guy. I had a line on a 59 about 4 or 5 months ago out of So. TN & almost pulled the trigger. It was Viper Blue with Silver Coves. SWEEEEET. It had a modern fuel inj. system & A/C! The guy wouldn't give me enough trade on the Sky so I walked. He's probably sold it by now. We were $4,000 apart & I wouldn't do it. Oh well. Now I am worried about 4/15 & I don't need to tell ya what that is do I.
 
Rest-Mod That Puppy

Find a 57-62 beater. I'm talkin C4 or C5 suspension, brakes, etc. LS3 motor maybe with supercharger, 6-speed trans, extra wide tires, fender flairs, side pipes, power steering and air, antilock brakes and wheels, custom interior - the works.

Man you've really thought this through. I do love side pipes. I especially like the sound of our Cobras. It is one of my fav parts, if not my fav part. Just something about that sound that gets the heart/pulse beating & says fast. If pressed tho, Id probably say that the "curb appeal" of a Cobra just can't be beat & is my fav part of our Cobras. The lines just exude sex appeal & scream sleek & fast. There's no doubt it is one of the best looking sports cars ever. The 59 had headers on it. I was gunna have Danny rig me up some exhaust pipes w/o mufflers to exit in front of the rear tires. I like the paint scheme a lot it was different & pretty. Close to your beast Mark. I don't think the blue was quite as dark as yours, but close. As far as fav color schemes in the club I like GaryO's (I'm a sucker for Orange or Orangish Red), yours & Tim's. Oh I forgot Kent & Jorga's. Very pretty.
