Haiti

Well, a $100 Million donation by the USA to Haiti, is a donation by me the taxpayer, is it not? Look up how many million's of dollars donated already to them, and what have they done with it?
 
You guys can obviously look at it anyway you want to. :( And you can obviously call me a stupid idiot for donating if choose to do so.
 
David, I agree. Those in need are in need regardless of what politics have to do with it.
 
I understand their point totally & that's OK. They feel like they have already contributed as taxpayers due to I suppose our Pres's decision to give them some needed assistance. I believe Pres. Bush or any other Repub. Pres would have done the same. Did ya see the pics of all the supplies, water & food arriving thanks to our troops & other personnel down there. Very heartwarming. It's got to help our image tremendously in their country & hopefully others. Other countries are there also. Iceland & others. What if we did nothing. :eek: I believe those that begrudge them assistance should be ashamed of themselves. What if we were a poor country & we looked to a stronger country help us in a time of crisis? We are all human beings & we should all care about each other & if we don't then shame on us.

Don't got "Karl" on me. You're welcome to spend your money any way you like and my opinion in that regard is irrelevant. Rather than clutter up a well meaning thread, I'll move my thoughts on this subject to a different one.

I like/liked Karl & I'm not ashamed to admit it. I like you & I'm not ashamed to admit it. :D Maybe I do have a little Karl in me & hopefully you'll forgive me for that. :D And I probably have a little Steve in me & I forgive you for that. :D Not to worry. I won't go totally Karl on ya. :D It's Ok if we have differences of opinion on "political" matters occasionally, lets just not "hate/dislike" each other if we do. I love ya Stever. I think ya know that. Can ya make it to my poker party? :D BTW This is America the last time I checked & you can clutter up my threads any way ya want buddy. :D
 
Americans have donated 355 mil to Haiti. To those of you within the club who opened up your checkbooks & more importantly your hearts, I thank you for your compassion, generosity & love to & for your fellow man. AMEN
 
Hugo Chavez was just on the news stating that the earthquake was the US's fault.:mad:
