Had some electric work done, the contractor noticed my garage lighting could be brighter. Only had three large light bulbs in screw fixtures (not the normally cumbersome shop lights hanging off ceiling) recommended: FEIT ELECTRIC /LED high Lumen - 300 Watt (only uses 38w) Brightness = 4000 lumens (energy cost $4.58 yearly) life = 32 years. THESE ARE BIG TIME BRIGHT....daylight is 5000 lumens...so here we go...fabulous screw in bulbs @ $35 each...you can google them (Amazon has them / Home Depot has them in stock) you will be shocked at this e brightness of these bulbs....!!

Cool to the touch...no heat at all... this is the NEW technology... would have never know if it were not for the electrician... it truly falls into the category of...BOOM!

How about a picture of one of these in the fixture - curious how big they are in relation to a regular 200W bulb. Do they hang down further? More apt to get bumped into?

Menards has a similar bulb on sale. 10,000 lumens. 500 watts of illumination for 100 watts of power draw. I picked one up. It's about the size of a small fire extinguisher.
