Ever hear of Tammy Duckworth?

It is a small world. Tammy and I served together in the Illinois Army National Guard. I flew the CH-47 and she was in the UH-60 so we were in different companies, but I worked with her for years. She was just another soldier when I knew her. In 2003 I got deployed to Iraq and then retired in early 2004 prior to the Blackhawks being deployed. I worked closely with some of the UH-60 leadership to prepare them for combat prior to retiring, but she was not one of them. She deployed to Iraq as an average UH-60 pilot but really transformed after her shootdown and subsequent trials. I don't agree with some of her positions, but she has become a real voice for veterans.
 
She seems serious enough, but a democrat - oh well.
If Santa Claus were a democrat, I'd vote for the other guy.
Sorry - don't trust any of them anymore.
