Well I've decided to look into different insurance for the car. It appears there have been some changes in my policy and they don't want me driving the car to work. I found Steve's post from a long time ago, but I was looking for more recent info. I want a policy that allows me to drive to work occasionally, covers around 6000 miles annually, and if possible covers driving experiences. The driving experience isn't a deal breaker though. Please post who you have for insurance. Mine was American Modern Home Insurance Co.

Yes I could do an internet search, but I wanted to hear from people I know and what type of experience they've had with their companies. Thanks in advance for the info.

Wow - I had American Modern Home through Robbin Terry. You may want/need to call them to clarify. The commute provision sounds new. Maybe not. I think they don't want you to use your collector car, show car, etc. for such pedestrian things like commutes, trips to the mall, groceries, etc. It's not unreasonable, but a bit more strict than I remember.

As for the track - any track, every time - your insurance ENDS at the gate. No ifs, ands, or buts. You can purchase track insurance from some companies for select events (not all). Track events = huge fun and big risk. I should talk though. I did it countless times and would do it again given the opportunity.

Steve Fehr may have a line on Cobra Ins. for a company that does a lot of Superformance clients.

Believe it or not Kate will have been gone for four years in April. Time sure does fly.

So my information is at least that old, but you should contact Continental Western Ins. https://www.cwgins.com/

Marks comments about insurance and the track are correct. I never bought insurance for the track. My plan was to have the wreckage towed to a deserted country road and then push it into a ditch - claiming I swerved to avoid hitting a dog. LOL

Thanks guys. I'll double check with Robbin Terry again, but the paper work they sent me says otherwise. I tried to contact the Continental Western, which pointed me to Berkley Classic Insurance. They said they only do it if they also have the other home and auto. :( As for State Farm, Thanks Mike for the info, but they royally screwed me when I had a truck stolen and so needless to say I'll pass on them. I'll look into Grundy insurance as well.

Thanks Mike. Midwest Classic Insurance is Robbin Terry's website. The bill though comes from American Modern Home Insurance. I'll be contacting them again tomorrow.

I have American Family for my home and all my auto insurance. No restrictions, or limits at all.
