Co$ra Frame

Well....Personally it doesn't appeal to me because of the Chevy motor in a Cobra and the difficult to maintain Brit drive train parts.

The chassis actually should be very strong and reasonably stiff. Don't know if low carbon seamless or chrome moly tubing was used but it looks heavy.

The real problem I see is the ungodly high CG...

I just saw myself sitting "outside" the frame. In a wreck you're toast.

Very "unique", but not desirable to me.
Lots of bracing in the frame and looks heavy and high CG (look at the last picture).
I agree with the above comments. Chevy in a Cobra(?), that's just wrong. TVR rear-end? good luck with the parts. I still can't make out the rear suspension and don't understand all of that framing behind the suspension. Where does the gas tank go and how is the trunk / bumper supported?

I enjoy seeing something different though.

hmm, just wondering, if it's symetrical (right or left had drive), wouldn't the balance be thrown off with only a driver for racing? and wouldn't the driver footbox be even smaller? (yikes!)

I agree with Mark to a point. There does seem to be a whole lot of extra bracing. I guess I'm one of the dissenting crowd about a Chevy powerplant in a REPLICA. I wouldn't put one in an original, but at some point I'll have an LS Cobra. I'm wondering how you mount the body and if it has additional bracing to support all the other stuff too. Windshield, Gas tank, Driver. You know the little stuff.
