Sparks Auto in St. Charles is assisting a local group. Keith and I have used them for inspections. Anyone want to help this group or any other group, post below. Would like to see what we as a club can come up with. Let me know, I can pick it up from you and Mark and I will arrange a delivery to Sparks or other group.

See e-mail below:

Donations are rolling in but we still need your help! Please help us grant their wishes this Christmas! Here is the letter I sent out last time about what we are doing this holiday season. If you can donate ANYTHING please do!!!!

**WE ASK THAT ALL DONATIONS BE DROPPED OFF TO SPARKS TIRE & AUTO BY THURSDAY DECEMBER 15. NO NEED TO WRAP THEM, WE WILL TAKE CARE OF ALL THAT!**

This year Sparks Tire & Auto has decided to make someone’s Christmas a
little more enjoyable. We decided to go through Community Living and “adopt” a few of their clients. Community Living is a local organization that helps people of all ages with disabilities. We have chosen 8 of their clients that live in their residential homes. These individuals don’t have family so we thought it would be nice to make their smile a little brighter this Christmas. We are asking our customers to help us make their Christmas great! I have attached a “wish list”. Please let me know if you can help and if so, what you plan to donate. I will place this list on our Facebook page as well each morning and eliminate items from the list as they come in. Thank you so much for your generosity this holiday season. We know money can be tight but even the smallest gift will make their day!

For more information on Community Living, please visit their website at www.cliservices.org

We hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving and note that we are only 27 days from Christmas!!!

Fine idea.
I could see donations of $10 or more to purchase the Wal-mart gift cards.
KISS Theory.

What do you think?

Well, if people want to send in a check (payable to Gateway Cobra Club) before Dec 10th - I will go to Wal•Mart and buy stack of gift cards.

Good idea Mark, I'm in. Get you a check in tomorrows mail.

In my never ending quest to deprive the central government of as much revenue as possible, I'll be making my donation directly to Community Living in order to take the tax deduction.

Good point Steve....all, if you want the tax deduction, the best way is to donate directly. Me, for the amount, i will be sending Mark a check. If you are making a large donation, donate directly for the deduction. Thought we were talking 10 or 20 dollar donations.

I matched the donations made and will be taking the gift cards to Sparks Saturday. It will be a little chilly, but if you can, driveyour Cobra to my house and we can deliver the gift cards together. Would be good if we had more than one car :)

Meet at my house at 11:30 if you can Saturday morning.

Brrrrr, hope it warms up a little. Yes, still going to drive the car up with my Santa hat on :D

'Santa' Gary and I took gift cards totaling $200 to Sparks for the Community Living Inc. Families. They said they had lots of donations, and really appreciated ours. Our picture and website link is up on their facebook page too.

Keith and I have used Sparks for vehicle inspections. They have photo's of other hot rods that have been brought in, so they seem to be car people. Thanks to those that donated, Merry Christmas! :D
