Went to the CC Street Machine Nationals In DuQuoin IL on Saturday and wore ourselves out with all the walking...
Turnout seemed to be slightly less than what I remembered in previous years with too many stock or mildly modified street cars and a much reduced number of quality Pro Street Cars.
Also fewer commercial vendors on display and all were located outdoors. No indoor booths. There were FAR fewer parts for sale. Just new product on display. Very disappointing actually.
Ran into member Dave Helms with his car on display and a gentleman from Carbondale IL with an Orange Unique Motor Car Big Block on display...and for sale.
There was a rumor of another Blue Cobra with white stripes but we did not see it.
Over all it was OK...but London was much more enjoyable / fun.
Don't think we will go back....Car Craft has really slipped in the last several years compared to the Street Rod Nationals in Louisville or the Frog Follies in Evansville....which have grown dramatically in comparison. FAR better events.
