Buy a new 'vette, build your own....engine?!

Like the comments said, a nice "Idea", but it costs an extra $5800 for the privilege of building your own engine. After working several years in manufacturing and assembly work, I can see where it's going to be more expensive though. If I'm buying a new corvette, I'll save the 5800 and invest in a track class and new tires instead. :) I'd rather do a resto-mod on a 65-67 with a supercharged LS3 with a cross ram intake. Yes it's been done before, but it's cool and power to boot.
