Keith's family joined Kathy and me to check out Bo's Hollow south of Montauk State Parks as a possible cruise destination for the club.

Although the family constructed replica of a 30's rural America community was very well done and highly recommended as a place to visit...I would not recommend it as a cruise destination for the clubs cars. The 1.7-mile gravel entry road south of Montauk is a deal breaker. However...it would be a great destination for the club driving our daily drivers.

The place is loaded with memorabilia and is the largest collection of model A Fords I have seen. These are not pristine restored show vehicles but rather working examples of what the cars and trucks looked like when being used 60 years ago. The patina, cosmetic flaws, and bare interiors immediatley shows these are working vehcles. They have a large Model A restoration shop that can be toured by no more than 8 people per day but the Model A rides and scenery from the top of the adjacent mountain top are great. The little replica community is very interesting. We enjoyed the day there even though it was very hot. A couple of the buildings are air conditioned and there a are many shaded spots to sit. When a breeze was blowing... it was comfortable.

The prices for rides and food are very fair. To enter the village each person buys a $5 wooden "nickel" that can be redeemed for a Model A ride or for lunch.

Keith also learned of a car show at Montauk State Park later this fall that would be a great destination for the clubs cars. Hwy 119 to Montauk has been recently resurfaced and is a great smooth scenic road for cruising. Contact Keith for details.

Attached are a few photos of the community.

I forgot to add that in the community there was 11 Model A vehicles is running condition or in various states of disrepair.
From coupes, two-door sedans. four-door sedans, flatbed truck, tank truck, school bus and a dump truck.

In the large shop on top of the hill, we were told there was a Model A in storage or in restoration "behind every door".

I did not make an exact count but estimate that the large multi-level shop had 10-12 doors.

Thanks for posting the pics, Kerry!

I found a place to take NAJA for a photo shoot!

I think that would be a fun place to spend a day. I have always been a big history buff and some of those old cars would really be interesting to me.
