Due to the lack of competition, XP was an easy win yesterday. I wish we had more turnout as you all would have liked cars that showed. To name a few we had a right hand drive turbo skyline(I had never seen one of these), a really nice NSX, a race prepped RX7, bunches of Z06's, and a national champion E-mod Corvette.

I was pleased to see Keith (aka itzdapig) come out and spectate. He went for a ride with me on my 1st lap on cold tires which was quite loose. Here is a in car video of the 1st lap with my new GoPro HD attached to my helmet. Skip to the 45 second mark as I have not had time to edit it yet.

The dart heads really gave some power on the top end and the hydroboost brakes are many times better than the old manual system.

Cool looks like you guys had fun. Sorry I couldn't make it was camping for the weekend, but I do want to come see you run. I've tried that in my younger days Triumph GT6 1971 got beat by a 1967 COBRA over at Flo Valley. It was fun.

Rick:)

The video doesn't really give the true feel of how intense and for the lack of a better term, violent the braking and turn ins actually are.I can't wait to get out there in mine.:D
Thanks again for the ride and answering all the questions.

Mike, I drove over directly from the cruise Sunday (Gary, thanks again for the ride, it was a blast!).
Unfortuneately, they were picking up the cones and it looked like I just missed it. They were pulling some of the cars on trailers and other guys were putting their street tires back on. Really wanted to catch you in action. When's the next event?

Congratulations on your victory!

Mark thanks for coming by! I am very sorry I missed you. I ran 10-12 and worked 12-1:30 so was out of there by 2:00. We had a restriction to be off the lot by 4pm so it was a short day.

The next race is Sunday 4/17 so come on out. It starts around 10 and ends around 3-3:30.

Also I was wrong about riders. Anyone over 12 can ride along, you just need a temporary membership. They issue those FREE to riders at the registration trailer and have loaner helmets for you to wear.

If you bring the roadsters out it will be an instant car show as well. The spectating is really good. You can sit on a grassy hill which overlooks the whole track or walk down the katy trail which is right next to the track.

Here are a couple more runs taken with a GoPro HD on a winshield mount.

Run 3 - fastest of the day:

Run 4 - a little slower

And a pic of the Coupe at speed.

Hey Mike! I'd like to catch you in action and check out the other guys too. I think I know a couple guys you run with; Thomas and Craig. (I work with Thomas and used to race slot cars with Craig)

When is the next event? (please tell me it's not Mothers Day )
