Neat article. I believe it. Modern machining and components plus tuning can get more out an old style engine. The other mods male sense and he did it by only going 3 mph faster than Dick did 50 years ago. We understand more about aerodynamic now as well. Like the author said though, don't think I have the balls for it. In va different car 200 mph is on my bucket list.
 
Just keep saying: TOYO TIRES...TOYO TIRES...TOYO TIRES... ultimate ZOOM ZOOM accomplishment....on 36/72 off 55N towards Decatur Illinois...did have the 750il run up to fuel shut off (on my car it's 152 mph)...then AFTER doing it, the mind plays some really silly games...of course that's in a straight line, hard to fathom making turns etc at that speed....YIKES!
