Yes, that was in Feb. when I picked it up. I have it taped to the back of the board now.

Ok...

Here is one of the two deer taken in 2009 that Herb just finished:

One of the three mounts hanging in the living room. This one was eight feet below me when I harvested him in 1996:

The first large buck I killed in 1974 while hunting on crutches. Another killed from a tree stand:

More hung in the stairwell going to the basement including one 14 point that Herb is going to remount:

Several others including an eight point from 2008 that I have yet to mount:

Some nice deer, nice to see someone else enjoy hunting. Looks like Herb does a great job on mounts

Nice Kerry.

I have (4) mounts all togehter. and several plaques around the house. I'm not sure where I'm going with the next one. (Good problem to have!)

Rick,

Herb has done all of mine, and my family's mounts. I won't go anywhere else. I've known him since I was 4 or 5, he is a really good guy.

Craig, in the first picture, how much did the deer on the left weigh dressed? During the rut I assume? That dude is a Monster! Go bird hunting, doesn't take up near as much room :D

The Mallard by a guy who is no longer in business, the Teal and wood duck by a lady in Arkansas who does it on the side, and the pheasant by a friend of mine's wife who only does it for fun. The Mallard is the worst one, and he was supposedly a professional

Tim,

I do bird hunt. I have a 5 year old Brittany Spaniel, that I had pointing at 6 weeks. I prefer quail to pheasant, but every farmer (including my family) bush hog every ditch line to help increase production, so there is not much cover for them, although they are making a comeback. I've gotten several turkeys, but all of my cousins are really into it (some get paid to call for people) and the farm is only so big. I stepped out of fighting over turkey hunting space, and staked my claim for deer season. I have to pick my battles. (I also got bit by a cottonmouth 5-6" long, the last season that I hunted, that is the worst I have ever felt in my life!)

The deer I shot this year (on the left) was 200 lbs field dressed. I even took a picture of the scale. It was durring the end of the rut in the area I hunt so I expect he was 50lbs heavier the month before.

I've got a lot of ground I can goose and duck hunt on, but just never cared much for it. (Mainly because I don't like to eat it)

Good looking mounts, I have always wanted to have a wood duck mounted.

I'm with ya on the pheasant/quail preference, I got invited on a few farm raised pheasant hunts, not going to turn 'em down :D 200lbs! Wow, that is a bid deer. Didn't realize Illinois had deer that big :)
