This is about as good as it gets!!!!

Obama had one of those fancy town hall meetings today and had the audacity of hope to say this: "I have personally asked leadership to pass into law, rules that follow the simple principle: you pay for what you spend. So that government acts like any responsible family does. Want a new program? You've got to pay for it. We can't rest until we restore the fiscal discipline that will keep us from leaving our children with a mountain of debt."
What a riot this guy is, eh?

Yeah, Presidents always make friends when they come to town and shut down highways. Wonder why they can't fly to Lambert, then take a helicopter from there to the destination? So, If we want say a new drug or health program for senior citizens, then someone has to pay to have that presented or put in to law?

My oldest son said something last night that made some sense - "Why is everyone harder on Obama than any other president this early on? Seems everyone is harsher just because he is black" Since I'm not so smart with comebacks, I just asked him to look at his first 100 days to see what actually has been done. Here's what I know he has done to "fix" it.

- Closed Guantanamo Bay - where did those prisoners end up anyway?
- Issued almost $800 Billion in government stimulus to companies that turned around and gave their executives bonus'
- Approved a low flying photo op down the hudson river (oh yes, he had to approve that)

I don't know what else he's done, good or bad. Anyone that follows this closer care to add?

The problem is into who's pocket he's reaching into to pay for what "program" we (read he and his liberal friends) want to pay for. I don't care if he's black, brown, purple, or orange. I'd take someone with a pair to set all the cry babies straight. I didn't agree with everything that the Bush administration did, but in the end I think he's going to stand a lot taller than the Obama-ination that happening now.
