    Automobile Lifts

I reached out to BendPak for information on installers in Missouri. They use a third party to coordinate delivery and installation. I was contacted promptly and provided a quote for a BendPak HD9 lift as well as delivery and installation. It looks like this is the route I'll be going, and...

    Automobile Lifts

Good info from BendPak on securing their lifts vs not: Q: Does the Lift have to be anchored in place? A: Yes, BendPak strongly recommends that you anchor the Lift; it may be less stable if you do not anchor the Bases, and you could possibly void ALI certification. If you plan to use the...

    Automobile Lifts

I haven't found time to make it down to their show room but would make that trip as well before I commit.

    Automobile Lifts

Paul, That was very helpful and timely as I'm about to buy a lift for my new shop. In my old shop, I had a BendPak asymmetric two-post lift that had a 10,000lb. capacity. Although it worked for my needs, I hated getting my car on it and simply wouldn't if I could use a jack to do what I...

    FFR Roadster Mk5 prototype

I went through the order configuration tool to price out what I would want if I were looking to build one and it came out to a bit over $48k without the top that isn't available in the order tool yet. They show it as a future option with a yet to be determined price. At that price, I'd rather...

My new shop is finally done!

I have a set of low ramps (4) that I used to get my car up high enough to get the arms under the car for my 2-post lift in my old shop. With the 4-post, I can get long ramps to help make it easier to get low cars on it. My other reason for doing a 4-post is so I can move it around in the...

My new shop is finally done!

I bought the latest (4th gen) MrCool 36k BTU kit from Home Depot. It was pretty simple to install. I can't say how well it cools yet, but the heat is working perfectly. I have it set at 65 degrees, but it can be set as low as 62 degrees. It is really quiet, too...

My new shop is finally done!

I'm game if the club wants to factor that into the planning for some time after June.

My new shop is finally done!

Thank you, and I agree with your comments on two vs. four-post lifts. I had a two-post in my shop in Colorado and it was a pain to get the Cobra positioned just right to safely lift it.

My new shop is finally done!

Thank you! The building is 30' x 40' with 14' ceiling and a covered 8' x 40' porch on one side. It's fully insulated, and I just installed a 36K BTU mini split to keep it comfortable year-round. Some other features include an 8' fan, 6 x 35,000 lumen LED lights, 42" TV, 60 gal. air compressor...

My new shop is finally done!

The construction took a lot longer than I expected, but my new building is done. Next step is to get a lift installed so I don't have to crawl around on the floor to do oil changes. I'm looking at The Lift Superstore 8,000 lb four-post lift, but I'm open to recommendations.
