just when I got my tuning figured out, I have a new challenge. Nearest replacement part is in Perris, CA and the tech took off early today to enjoy a long weekend,. Looks like I'll get to watch the 500 live

Rocker system is Stainless Steel PRW's. Seems to be a common failure with the brand. I suspect too thin a wall on the casting coupled with a stress riser from an oiling hole

Trying to figure out how to turn this into wall art. The manufacturer is blaming Lumpy. And from the forums, this is to be expected. The manufacturer is saying the spring pressure is too high, the pushrods are too long and the pushrod hit the rocker causing it to fail.
  • no witness marks on any of the rockers from contacting the pushrods
  • no witness marks on any of the pushrods
  • open spring load is 360lbs where the mfg spec says 375+ lbs is OK
  • witness marks on the valve stems say the geometry is correct.
How come I sort of expected this type of response, it's never their problem.

Lumpy passed away last year and the business dissolved so I think that warranty may have expired.

Ordered new parts today. Should have bought another brand in the first place but he said he'd used them many times without issue. Oh well, live and learn

Now how to hang this on the wall without it pissing me off every time I look at it. Anyone running a 7cylinder big block ford - I've got a deal for you.

Skip in sure can make something of it... Maybe a T-Rex

Man, I'm sorry to hear about that Paul. But like you said, the response is not unexpected now days, which is a shame. Best of luck.

Now that you have given the manufacturer the opportunity to make things right...
Post all of this information with photos on the forums the manufacturer monitors with a warning to potential buyers of this rocker arm assembly that this is the warranty and "customer support" they can expect when buying this product.
Make this response as public as you can with as many objective details as possible.
This is clearly a company attempting to avoid responsibility...and it needs to be known by any potential customers.
