Got a few extra bucks laying around? Tim, this might be a good option for you! But they are only making 10 copies:

Here's a link to the site: Classic Recreations

Wonder how much 'stupid money' is out there? They're saying the "Investment Price" is $1.2M

Is that the website link Paul? All I get is the same picture that you posted.
I think FFR created a Carbon Body in the early 2000's, only a few. Not sure if they were a final finish or required prep/paint (I think the latter). Wonder what the weight difference is? (save 50lbs?? for a lot of dough) I guess for the 40xx series it's more of and rarity issue.

Yeah, but you get a "unique diamond encrusted badge"! Something every Cobra owner desires.
And it will "arguably be the fastest Cobra on the planet". :poop:
Cool motor, but not very period-correct.

btw, body weighs 88lbs.
Mark Dougherty (in an FFR post) said FFR weighs 120 lbs (guessing that is without doors, hood & trunk(?)

Thanks for the link Steven, interesting. but $1.2M

Yes the FFR cf body was very light, a 40# weight savings sound about right. Don't know how may they made but they are out there somewhere on the road

If you have a CF body, I'm thinking period correct engine isn't important 🤔😁

According to this, FFR made 20 - 25 MKI in the '90s.
Carbon Fiber FFR MkI For Sale

(but don't think they were finished CF (had to be bodyworked & painted). still doesn't justify 1.2M, this sounds like a Carroll snake-oil deal.
Is Classic Recreations another authorized manufacturer? Different than Shelby in Vegas.
Their CSX 427 has a "4-inch diameter DOM steel frame", this one has a "Subframe: Custom Designed Chassis"

btw, they also have a CF GT500.

Classic Recreations struck a deal with Shelby American to build these cars. They'll come with a CSX4xxx number and be considered a continuation car. 100K for the car and 1.1M for the nameplate

I’d go nuts having to answer questions about the car, is it real, is it fiberglass is it aluminum then a boring explanation that it’s carbon fiber and costs $1.2 M but only weighs 88 lbs…then if parked next to a BDR or FFR , the comments would turn to, gee looks just like the rest of the cars…. What’s so special if that’s a question….Just my 2cents

Maybe this is just a California thing but the second most asked question after Is It Real is Will It Burn Rubber. Most surprising question I have been asked was by a guy in his late 20s who wanted to know what the thing sticking up from the floor between the seats was. When I told him it was the shifter his next question with a puzzled look on his face was, What does it shift.
