Been getting updates from Wendell and Jay as well as our other friends of Texas Cobra Club about the meet at San Marcos. Looks like over 100 cars attended this year with great weather and a Factory Five sighting.

Ok, giving you a year's notice now - I want to attend with my new colors next year. Yes, I know how far away it is, but it's a great time. A few pics below:

Did they announce dates for 2017? Curious if it overlaps with Nancy and/or Kaitlyn's Spring Break next year.

Someone can correct me, but I believe it's always the last weekend of March. Unless, like this year, it conflicts with Easter. Easter is in April next year. Gene

So, like 3/23 - 26 '17? I'm talking to Ann about planning this for next year. I may be able to work this into a visit to my son / daughter-in-law. :D

Just saw the date is 3/29 - 4/2/17 at the same hotel. It's turned in to a 4 day event, which, I may. Drone video on youtube:

We'll have to see how those dates work out with 2017 Spring Break schedules. My thoughts are...if I'm going to drag my trailer that far then why not try and take in all 4 days?

Exactly Mike! However, I don't have to worry about Spring break dates anymore. :p I'm thinking of taking 2 weeks off, take the truck/trailer/car to Florida and catch Spring training, then drive on over to San Marcos  That would be a 3,300 mile trip! NOT! :D

Put that on your bucket list for when you retire! :)

I think my son is in for this trip, he'll meet up with me in San Marcos. Ann may join for the ride down and some shopping. Do we have any details? Who's in?

No details yet. It will be a couple months before they release the dates, but typically last part of March. We're probably in, depends on how the South Dakota trip shapes up.

Ken Walker just posted something in Club Cobra that they already have 30 cars with 52 people (drivers and guests) already registered. Soooo, I went to look at car rentals, and to my joy, I found Enterprise rents exotic cars! :D :D https://exoticcars.enterprise.com/en/vehicles.html Yes, I've inquired about the Jaguar F-type.

The hotel fills up quickly. I recommend making a reservation ASAP. You can cancel later. There's no limit to event registrations and no advantage to registering early.

There are other hotels nearby if you can't get in.

Got my response on the car rental. So, to drive my current dream car......$350.....per DAY! Hell, I may as well buy one, own it and rent it down there! Even Hertz rents the Mustang Cobra for $300/day. I need to call my really good buddy Wendell....he has two Cobra's. Maybe he would let me drive one for $100/day :D
