Just wanted you to know I sent Phil and his wife an email asking about the costs of their snappless tonneau covers. I asked about delivery time as well as colors. It seemed there was interest from mutiple parties so I thought I'd drop them a line. I also know that Tim is looking into an alternate source. Either way, who would be interested in one?

The cats meow...

Dave, this thing goes on in about 20 seconds and there is no snap 1 pearl 2 thing going on. I love the soft tops and eventually I'll have one. I want to extend my available drive time as much as possible. But for just covering the cockpit so there is no bird crap or rain or dirt or prying eyes in the cockpit, you can't get better than these things. Too Cool.

These have fiberglass rod in them to keep the shape and the tension is prided by a bungee on both side that clip into the side pipe opening. Like I said, Fast to install and simple.

Lurking Dave????????????????????

T- Bull outs Dave. Oh Uh is Dave the Lurking Poster? Shall we make him walk the plank or string him up by his ____? What say ya Mateys? What shall we do with this lurking serpent?:eek::eek::eek:

They are very nice, and do an excellent job. I can't wait untill I have a finished car to put it on!

As far as I know Kay only has a pattern for FFR cars. I'm sure she could do others but it might run a little more. How much $ is Phillip talking for a group buy? I'll probably be interested.

Thanks for the heads up,
Tom

I posted an email to them, but I haven't heard back yet. I'll post the results here when I find out. I think right now those interested in a cover from one of the distributors is Scott, Tim, Tom & Myself. Some already have them. R1 just wants to be able to use his! Let me know if there are any others.

Scott, I haven't received a return email about the covers yet. Would you email me the address and any other contact information on the outside of R1's shipping box? Thx.

Update

R1, you don't have to send me the address. I've since recieved a PM from them off of the FFCobra forum. I was given the wrong email to start with, but I've sent them a new one. The cost is $170 and that includes shipping. I've posed the question to him about multiple orders and he said he'll send his brochure to me. From that email I should know about a price break.

So how much are the covers from your contact? Not sure how much color match will charge, but if he already had the one to make a pattern off of, it would be lot's less. The reason I liked the color match idea was for future or current members that would want them, they would know where to go locally to get plus the material is "carbon fiber" look vinyl. Scott, thought you were going to grab that for me?

Update On the Covers

I have the brochure from them now, They have a pattern for Hurricanes, but not Superformance nor BDR. The price is the same no matter the number of orders. They only work in black for the color too. They will generate a cloth pattern for $35 that we can take to a local upholsterer (sp?) that can make it in multiple colors and then they could use that to modify for the different steering wheels and Seat heights. Anyone who wants the brochure, let me know and I'll send it to you in a email.

Brochure

May I get a copy of the brochure?
