Last nights storm was terrible for much of St. Louis. Is everyone alright, any damage?
I feel very fortunate, here in O'Fallon, all I had was a lot of rain and a little small hail. My thoughts to all who suffer through a tornado.

All good here. Linda & I were in Defiance at Terry & Kathy's bar. I figured nothing was happening there, better to stay there than to drive in it, so, had another beer and waited it out. Didn't know how close New Melle was though  Headed up to see if my boat and the car trailer survived ok.

Glad all is ok out your way. We had high winds and a lot of rain in So Il.
Just curious: will this be blamed on the terriorists? How do you start a tornado?:):D:cool:

Come on guys, be serious...........This is obviously a global warming event, made worse by oil drilling in the Gulf, and radiation fallout from Japan.

That said, I hope no one suffered any harm.

No Tornado damage here in South County, but I've been the victim of Hurricane Ann blowing through on her Spring Cleaning binge. Nothing a few Advil won't fix. :D

Hope everyone else is ok. I heard Lambert got hit hard and closed down for the weekend.

Had minor damage here in O'fallon...
Monday will be the big story when I return to work at the airport.

Happy Easter.

Skip, hope its not too bad. Your south of town and I'm north, about 5 miles difference. That can be a lot in a storm!

Just some siding and trim... Once I can get the ladder out...it will be fixed.
I already have the old pieces and have them ready to install.
Once it dries, I'll check the roof.

Mom had a 40 foot pine take out her fence, power lines and electrical service off the back of her house in St. Ann just south of the airport. We replaced the service and cut and removed the tree and are waiting for Ameron(said it would be a couple days at minimum till service is restored) but Bridgeton was hit really hard, the news reports don't do it justice, I feel for the people there after being at ground zero in Ofallon in '88 for that tornado there.

Ok, on the Illinois side. We had a tornado take out the farm I grew up on 6 years ago.
Biggest mess I had ever seen. A couple miles south of me, the farms look just like that. The good news is, the driveways are lined with cars, more help than they can acutally use. This is why I like small town life!

All good in Florissant, garage with coupe inside still intact. My wife and daughter were at church (Grace STL) when it hit. Looks like from the damage path the tornado jumped right over the church. Thank god they were spared.

I am at work this week so missed the exitement. My truck is parked on the North side of the airport and does not appear to have any damage.

Skip, where at Lambert do you work?

We were right in the path at Hwy K / 40. Luckily it was only a wall cloud at the time...no damage, just a couple of scared kids. Also a buddy and I just completed a bike ride on the Hamburg trail (94 and D) at 6:15p, so we skirted it there too. Haven't seen skies that mean since I lived in Oklahoma!

Mike
Been out there 32 years...I've been all over the airport OZA, TWA now AA
Right now I head up the rebuild facility for American Airlines for some of their GSE equipment.
Our shop is on the east end in the cargo buildings... Right now we are rebuilding the bag tractors. In about a year and a half, we have restored to "0" time about 650 units.
About 200 - 250 more to go then we will start the beltloaders.

Where are you? are we close?

I work for Netjets out of Columbus, Ohio. I fly coporate jets out of Signature Flight Support on the north east ramp. I don't spend much time there as I am on a week on / week off scheduale. I show for work and am usually gone for the week within a couple of hours. I actually spend more time in NY and LA than I do at Lambert.

That GSE takes some real abuse...must keep you busy. I used to fly for Trans States and their stuff was constantly broke.

Maryville road in granite city

The Hit n Run on maryville road had the hit knocked out of it and roofs torn off many buildings and homes there - alarm system went off at speed shop during night and credit card machine down and stayed down all day - ?? all phone lines up and building looked ok but scattered trash all over back lot - later found dumpster at back of building belonging to carpenter shop in rear turned over. All else ok.

Good here. I had to drive through 70 around where it hit yesterday, It looks like a warzone. No offense guys, but there are some that have lost their homes...I think Obama and global warming jokes should be placed elsewhere.
